Hello Natalia,

<<<<<<<Dropped Packets
Explanation:
What a Traceroute does is: it traces the packets of information on your
internet connection from its starting to ending location and showing each
of the "Hops" required to get to that location.
Each asterisk represents dropped packets of information, which has to be
resent. As you can see, there is an issue with dropped packets occuring at
hop 9.
As you probably well know, many people operate under the assumption that
"since my internet works, then the problem must be originating at the
other end". However internet traffic can cause lag to develop at any
of 30 hops which carry your signal to services such as Full Tilt Poker.
These issues are occuring early in the traceroute so this could be an issue
with your Internet Service Provider so I would advise you to please
consider the option of contacting your service provider and supply them
with this information; they may be able to assist you in further
stabilizing your current connection.
In the meantime, I would like you to make sure that any programs that might
be using bandwidth (Internet) in the background are closed when playing on
Full Tilt.
Next, I would like you to do some basic maintenance on your network in the
hopes that it will correct the connectivity issue:
Reset your local network (you might want to print out this email so that
you can follow the steps).
- On your computer, delete all temporary Internet files and cookies.
- Do a virus and spyware scan, and eliminate any issues encountered.
- Shut your computer down.
- Unplug your router and computer from the wall and from each other.
- Leave it unplugged for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Plug your router into power and allow it to cycle
- Plug your computer in to power, then into your router ensuring all cables
are secureand turn your computer back o
The point of this whole exercise is to clear out the buffers and caches of
your connectivity hardware. This should greatly enhance your connection
stability and speed. Doing this once a week or two weeks should keep your
hardware running at it's best.
